Expansions (Volume 2): The Way is Peace
This series of expansions deals with the question of man’s journey back to his creator. Since every journey entails a way, it is therefore important to identify which is the right way that leads back to God. The way here does not indicate a distance in space rather it means the manner in which we respond to the call of God. As a human being’s life unfolds, from time to time, from one situation to another, he encounters hurdles and obstacles which stand between him and his creator. In order to overcome these obstacles which act like veils, he either falls back on the means at his disposition be that his strength, his knowledge, his wealth or his connections. Or he accepts what has happened to be the expression of the will of God and therefore hand-over the matter to God. This acceptance of the will of God with an open heart is what is known as Tasleem (self-submission) and the outcome of that self-submission is a feeling of peace in the heart of the one who has submitted (muslim). In other words it is making peace with God. Following this pact of peace between creator and creation, a light comes from the creator that illuminates his way and removes the hurdles.
